Our Mission

Our mission is to assist the Adelaide Hills community sustainably recover from the 2019-20 Cudlee Creek bushfires, and future natural disasters, by replacing fire affected non-indigenous trees on private land with native species; ensuring safety for landholders, restoring habitats and the wellbeing of native wildlife & improving land quality and biodiversity for future generations.

Who we are

Treecovery is a member-based, not-for-profit social enterprise, managed by a Board of local Adelaide Hills residents, all directly affected by the 2019 Cudlee Creek Bushfire and committed to making a difference for those still experiencing the negative impacts of the fire.

Each of our Directors brings a unique, valuable set of skills and expertise to the table, to ensure Treecovery’s activities are focussed, effective and deliver beneficial outcomes to its recipients, and the community more broadly.

Funding

Treecovery Ltd. is a proud recipient of an Australian Government grant under the Black Summer Bushfire Recovery (BSBR) program and we continue to pursue funding and other partnerships with a range of philanthropic organisations

Volunteers

We are primarily a community-based, volunteer-run organisation, partnering with government, NGOs and the private sector to enable environmental, emotional and economic post-disaster recovery

Regeneration

Our goal is to rehabilitate the sites on which we operate, providing crucial habitat for native fauna, reducing future fire risk through strategic revegetation and enhancing the overall biodiversity of the Hills
